Prancing Moose Style 'P' Collection The "P" series was designed as a parody of the Porsche emblem to the left. The Style 'P' is better of course because it has a Prancing Moose. It has been reported that later Volvo modular engines were designed with the help of Porsche engineers.  Many are still available   Some are hated by you-know-who and crossed out. INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING DIE-CUT VINYL GRAPHIC DECALS

Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight until ready to apply. Application is best when temperature is between 50 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. If applied on glass, clean surface thoroughly, especially if there was ever any Rain-X or other chemicals on it.  If applied on a painted surface, keep in mind the adhesive is pretty strong and may need some heat (such as a hair dryer) to remove later.  The decal comes with 3 layers: 1.  The bottom peel 'n' stick liner (bottom layer). It may be clear plastic or paper. 2.  The actual vinyl decal (middle layer). This is the cut decal. 3.  The clear top mask (top layer). This may be clear plastic or paper.

Preparing for Application Dry Application Method: The DRY method may be best for smaller decals or decals that will not need to be moved or adjusted during installation. This is a much faster method. WET Application Method: The WET method has more steps and is generally done with larger decals or with decals that may need to be adjusted or slid into place after it's on the surface. The liquid used is a mixture of water and soap to help lubricate the surface, allowing the decal to slide on the surface if needed. It also makes removing trapped air easier from under a large decal. The decal is then left in place and allowed to dry. This first guide below uses the DRY method. If applying this to a car, it's best it the car is in a cool area away from direct sun. Clean the surface really well. Before starting the application process, place decal face-up on hard, flat surface.  Pressing firmly, rub the top mask back and forth over the vinyl decal.  This is to make sure the decal sticks to the top mask when the bottom liner is removed.

<<< Lifting the Decal from the Bottom/Back Liner: Starting at one corner, slowly peel the top mask from the bottom liner.  The decal should lift from the bottom liner as you pull and remain attached to the top mask.  The sticky side of the vinyl will be exposed, so do not touch it.  If any part of the decal is stubborn and not lifting off the bottom liner, then lay the top mask back down, firmly rub the area, and try again. If the decal becomes stubborn and won't lift with the mask in places, you can use a small sharp pick, hobby knife or any sharp tool to gently lift the edge up to help it get started as you're lifting the mask. The object is to peel off the top mask and have the entire decal stuck to the bottom of it. Applying the Decal to Surface: Holding the sides of the top mask, lay the image down onto the surface in the desired position.  Take your time in positioning, because once it sticks, it usually stays stuck! Using your fingers (or better yet, a credit card), rub across the top mask from the center of the decal outward to push out any trapped air.  Then, starting at one corner, slowly peel the top mask off, leaving only the decal.  Peeling the top mask off at a SHARP angle can help, especially if the decal begins to lift off the surface instead of sticking down like it should. As you peel the mask off, if any part of the decal begins to lift, it can also help to push the mask back down and rub some more so hopefully it stays down. There is a technique that helps if you have a surface (other than glass) where the decal is having trouble sticking down or if you have trouble removing the mask without lifting the decal.  This technique especially helps if the decal has small text or small pieces that are hard to stay stuck down.  Try leaving the decal AND mask IN PLACE on the surface for a few hours or longer. The adhesive on a vinyl decal improves with time and after waiting a while the mask can be easier to peel off without lifting the decal.

BRAKE CALIPERS If applying to BRAKE CALIPERS, it is recommended they be painted and the surface smooth.  Vinyl likes to have a smooth surface to stick to.  And the surface needs to be CLEAN. After a decal is applied, it is optional (some people highly recommend) to spray some high-temp clear sealer (ordinary DupliColor aerosol is usually good enough) to help keep the vinyl from lifting later (since this can happen).  Here's a simple video that helps explain: https://youtu.be/ijxTWUICiTQ
