NOTE REGARDING VOLVO 140 SERIES:
The INNER and OUTER scrapers will also fit all 1974 142, 144 and 145 Volvos directly.
And now a customer has reported that the INNER scrapers can be fitted to a 1973 140 series. He found that the original metal clips in his 142 door panels worked, but they wouldn't quite grab enough scraper material to hold it solidly. So he went to a junk yard and found some metal scraper clips from a 240 inner door panel and they worked perfectly. It was also necessary to trim the scraper length a few inches since the 140 doors have wing windows.

NEW OUTER Window Scrapers
240 2-door, 4-door or wagon

These are brand new OUTER rubber scraper moldings with correct felt flocking on one side. These will mount on YOUR original outer metal window trim channels. The felt side rests against the glass. These will replace your old cracked and hardened outer scraper moldings.

NEW 2-Door or 4-Door 240 INNER Window Scrapers

These are brand new INNER rubber scraper moldings with correct felt flocking and molded-in metal inserts.
These mount on your inner door panel and the felt side rests against the glass. These will replace your old cracked and hardened inner scraper moldings.

THESE INNER SCRAPERS COME IN SETS AS FOLLOWS:
Set of 2 inner scrapers: for all 2-door coupe 242/262, plus some 142 (see 140 note below).
Set of 4 inner scrapers: for all 4-door or wagon 244/245/264/265, plus some 144, 145 (see 140 note below).

    INNER SCRAPER GUIDANCE
"I'm restoring a 1992 240 wagon. I took the door panels down to my basement and experimented on one of the rear doors. I tried to lift the scraper clip 'keepers' with a ⅛ inch slot screwdriver blade on the existing scraper. The shaft for such a screwdriver is insufficiently stiff; it will not lift the clip's keeper sufficiently. I then tried a 3/16 inch blade which, when inserted at a 45° angle to the axis of the scraper, then twisted roughly 30°, raised the keeper just sufficiently for the scraper 'rail' to be shifted a little out of its seat. The upward shifting action applied to the scraper is performed with a second, ¼ inch slot screwdriver inserted ¾ inch to the inside of the clip (i.e. away from the panel edges) and under the edge of the old scraper. This is done as the keeper is raised. Starting at one end, these two actions done simultaneously, permit the old scraper to be 'worried' out a little. Start with one of the end clips. After the scraper 'budges' a little, move to the next clip and repeat. Go back to the first and repeat; go back to the second clip and repeat, then to the third. Then back to the first, the second the third and now the fourth."
    "In this way, work along the length of the scraper. It will 'pop' out of the first clip first, then the second, etc. Remember, the old scraper is to be discarded, so you don't have to be gentle with it. As you mention in your instructions, one does have to be gentle with the clips."
        "The first panel did indeed take me 15 minutes to remove the scraper. The other three: 3 minutes each."
    "Installation of the new inner scrapers takes 60 seconds. Correctly position the part, then push the middle of it into the middle clip, with the thumbs and forefingers of both hands. It's very quick. Once the scraper has been engaged by each of the clips, re-push it into each clip a second and third time, each time beginning from the middle, until it is visibly seated at the bottom of each clip. This is the factory method of installation, and its simplicity is the reason why removal is such a pain."
    "Door panels 2 and 3 took a total of 5 minutes each. Door panel 4 took 3:30. Hope this is useful."

NEW ANCHOR CLIPS
FOR 240 INNER SCRAPERS

These original Volvo clips are available just in case you need them. They are made of very stiff spring steel and they can be broken if you pry them too far open when removing old scrapers. The good news is these will usually only get broken by beginners who don't know how brittle they are until they break a few, but for those who follow instructions and if you're careful, it's UNLIKELY you'll break any.
I have them here just in case you need some. (See instructions for details).

A 242 (2 door) uses up to 9 per door.
A 244 or 245 (4-door) sedan or wagon uses about 6 or 7 per door.
